Clinical Applications of Humor in Psychotherapy,
Revitalizing Psychotherapy with Humor
Humor can be a powerful tool to facilitate emotional, cognitive, behavioral, and physiological well being. Through humor, therapists can teach clients to manage emotions and develop a healthful perspective to improve their psychological lives. This lively introductory workshop will teach participants both how and why humor can be therapeutic, and how to integrate humorous interventions into clinical practice. The therapeutic nature of humor will be illustrated through the inclusion of jokes, anecdotes, props, cartoons, and video presentations. |
