Positive Psychology
Positive psychology refers to the science of positive subjective experience and positive emotional experience at the individual, family, community, and institutional levels. Rather
than focusing on the resolution of emotional distress, this
program teaches aspects of life enhancement. The goals include
learning strategies that build uplifting emotional experiences
rather than learning to cope with distressing emotional
experiences. In the positive psychology program participants are introduced to ways to improve quality of life and prevent the pathologies that emerge from views of life as meaningless. |
