Dr. Sultanoff offers counseling and psychotherapy services for individuals, and
couples. He specializes in anxiety disorders, stress, men's issues, women's issues,
depression, marital and couples issues, and communication.
He has over 20 years of experience providing psychotherapy.
Dr. Sultanoff is a provider for many managed care companies and accepts most
insurance plans.
Training for Professionals:
Dr. Sultanoff offers a wide range of training experiences for licensed
therapist as well as interns and trainees. He has over 20 years of experience in
experiential counseling skill training. He is an adjunct professor at Pepperdine
University, an instructor at the California State University, Long Beach, and has taught
at a variety of universities including University of California, Berkeley, University of
California Irvine, San Francisco State University, and several community colleges.
In addition to continuing education programs for licensed therapist, Dr.
Sultanoff offers ongoing small group therapy training seminars in basic therapy techniques
and in cognitive therapy.
Dr. Sultanoff offers a series of one day training
programs on Humor Matters in Psychotherapy. These programs
will offer Continuing Education Units for Psychologists, Marriage Counselors, and Social
workers. He will also be offering CEU's in July as part of an Alaskan Cruise
Package.

Dr. Sultanoff offers supervision for licensed and unlicensed professionals.
He is the former director of a large therapists training clinic and has over 20
years providing supervision.

Dr. Sultanoff received his doctorate from the University of California,
Berkeley in 1982. He is both a licensed psychologist and licensed Marriage, Family,
and Child Counselor.
He has been extensively trained in cognitive therapy and has 14 years of
service at the Center for Cognitive Therapy, Newport Beach California and the
Cognitive Therapy Center, Costa Mesa CA. He also has
extensive training in client-centered and psychodynamic therapeutic perspectives. He
teaches the skills of therapy, theories of therapy, and practicum and internship classes
at several universities.
Dr. Sultanoff is the former director of a mental health training clinic where
he supervised and trained masters and doctoral interns in the practice of psychotherapy.
